In a control system, there are many ways to get from point A to point B. Taking responsibility for the result, EnerSys helps you determine which route is best for you. We work with you to plan a project approach and then execute that plan, achieving maximum control systems value.
Our proven methodology for getting it done ensures that your needs are being met at each strategic interval.
Project Realization
Assess
Execute
Understand
What does the system need to accomplish and deliver, what technology best supports these requirements, and how does the company operate?
Define
Select technical components, such as sofware and hardware, then document what the system will do (functional specification), the tasks and level of effort to implement (scope of work) and the cost (budget).
Design
Create the materials that enable technical construction for system support, such as specifications, drawings, standards and naming conventions.
Build
Build to the design and create a process that supports commissioning. Often the project focus is on the build tasks, and yet the build should only comprise about 30 to 40% of the total effort in a well-planned and executed project. The remaining 60 to 70% of the effort should be expended on planning, design and streamlining the commissioning process.
Test
Perform factory acceptance testing (FAT) and confirm system functionality prior to shipment. Review functionality and performance, clarify the outcome and minimize the need for field changes.
Install
Install and commission system components, ensuring efficient and timely deliverables while minimizing impact on operations.
Commission
Perform site acceptance testing (SAT) and certify the system meets the design specification.
Close
Ensure the final system solves the challenge initially identified and provides measureable benefits.
