Spring 2024 Industry Conferences

AGA 2024

Several members of the EnerSys team are attending the 2024 AGA Operations Conference & Spring Committee Meetings in Seattle this week. While we’re there, we are excited to engage with many of you in conversation about the challenges and opportunities you are facing across the scope of your operations.

We’re thankful for the opportunity to attend and participate in the Committee Meetings. These gatherings present an opportunity for us to engage in collaborative discussions, sharing perspectives and best practices alongside our peers in the industry in an effort to push the industry forwards.

If you’re in attendance this week, we would like to connect with you. This is a great opportunity to discuss EnerSys solutions and hear from our team of experts on current issues affecting the industry.

We invite you to contact us to setup a meeting during the conference. You can email us directly at sales@enersyscorp.com or call us at 281-598-7100.

API 2024

EnerSys will be exhibiting and presenting during the 2024 API Pipeline Conference and Expo in Salt Lake City, Utah from May 6th through May 8th. You can find us at the dedicated EnerSys booth — #402. (View Exhibitor Floorplan Here)

EnerSys CEO Russel Treat will be presenting on two different topics during the conference.

Presentation 1:
Track: Control Room | Alarm Management
Utilizing Software Tools to Align Internal Policies with Regulatory Requirements
When: Tuesday, May 7th – 8:40 am – 9:10 am
Where: Solitude (View Hyatt Regency Salt Lake Floorplan Here)

Navigating the complexities of safety programs and aligning them with regulatory requirements poses a significant challenge in pipeline operations. This presentation will address a critical industry pain point by exploring the implementation of software tools to confirm internal policies and procedures align with regulatory standards for all safety programs across an operation.

This presentation will cover the common problems commonly associated with complex regulatory compliance, and how operations should leverage technology to improve regulatory standing and operational efficiency across safety programs. The presentation will also explore the implementation process for adopting this approach and the successes realized by the organization involved. With this approach, operations can realize simplified audit procedures, easily identify gaps in internal policies, access documentation more efficiently, achieve Natural Compliance, and save a substantial amount of man-hours.

Presentation 2:
Track: Pipeline | Operational Excellence
Facilitating Effective Alarm Management
When: Wednesday, May 8th – 8:00 am – 8:30 am
Where: Regency C (View Hyatt Regency Salt Lake Floorplan Here)

This presentation details the lessons learned from a series of four Alarm Management Workshops conducted with different operators. The presentation describes key lessons learned and approaches to foster collaboration, share insights, and define a practical approach for optimizing the entire lifecycle of alarms, from identification to rationalization to monitoring to improvement and management of change. Stakeholders can achieve an enhanced understanding of the alarm philosophy and the alarm management plan while improving compliance with regulatory requirements. The presentation will also provide insights into reducing the duration and level of the alarm rationalization process.
